About Polly -

I prepare leaders for the moments that decide things.

The board presentation. The media interview. The announcement no one wants to make. The room where trust, momentum, opportunity, or an organization’s confidence is on the line. For fourteen years, senior leaders have come to me when the stakes are high enough that preparation can no longer be left to chance.

Why leaders work with me

Before I coached executives, I made my living being watched. As a professional commercial actor and on-camera spokesperson, I spent more than a decade in front of cameras and live audiences - over a hundred commercials, television work, and the daily discipline of delivering a message precisely with presence, timing, and credibility - often under lights, under pressure, and with very little room for error.

My behind-the-scenes work at Fox 9 News gave me a close view of how quickly credibility can be lost - and how it can be reclaimed. It shaped the way I think about leadership communication: people are always reading more than your words. They are reading your composure, timing, clarity, and ability to recover in real time.

I know, from the inside, what it takes to be composed while being observed. And I know that composure is not a personality trait. It is a craft - and it can be taught.

My background expanded into media training and communication coaching for people whose work involves scrutiny: news professionals, spokespeople, elected officials, and leaders preparing for public-facing moments.

From there, the work deepened into what it is today - executive coaching and strategic communication for leaders whose moments carry organizational weight.

How I work

My coaching is practical, personal, and honest. We work with your real material - the actual presentation, the actual stakeholder, the actual conversation you are bracing for - not hypotheticals. You leave with language you can deliver, presence you can hold under pressure, and preparation you can feel in your body, not just understand in your head.

My approach draws from executive coaching, communication strategy, performance training, leadership development, and sound research on how people build trust, process information, and respond under pressure. My contribution is making that work usable in the rooms where you actually lead.

Leaders often tell me two things after working together: the feedback was more direct than they expected, and they felt more supported than they imagined possible. Both are the point. Truth and support are not opposites in this work. One makes the other possible.

Background and Credentials

I am an ICF-certified executive coach and the founder of Polly Meyer Executive Consulting.

My coaching, training, and speaking work spans manufacturing, healthcare, energy, media, legal, public sector, political leadership, and professional services. I have worked with leaders and teams connected to organizations including John Deere, 3M, ExxonMobil, Kohler, Honeywell, WCCO, Hennepin Healthcare, Minnesota Department of Health, and others.

My training and certifications include executive coaching, leadership development, motivational interviewing, strengths-based coaching, and communication and performance disciplines developed over years of work in front of cameras, behind the scenes in television, on stage, and inside high-stakes coaching rooms.

The result is a coaching experience that is both strategic and embodied - grounded in how leaders think, lead communicate, influence, recover, and show up in real time, particularly when people are paying close attention.

What clients experience

"I brought my central US division to number one in sales of all US divisions - up from last in 2025 when I took over. We have double the sales of any other division. And west and east coast are deeper markets with more potential. My pitches are going so well, Polly! Strong conversion rate." - Maren L, Vice President and Products Specialist, Capital Formation

“Honestly immeasurable. Polly’s coaching helped me reach higher levels of confidence and performance. Her insight is invaluable. And her training is creative and impactful.” — Tom H., Vice President, Aerospace Global Business Enterprise

“You’ve changed my life. How I do business, am present with others, and even the way I look at myself is better because of you.” — Anissa K., President, Health Services Industry

A little more personal

I have always been drawn to the moments when presence, pressure, timing, and credibility meet - and that experience still shapes the way I help leaders prepare for the rooms that matter.

In 2026, Polly Meyer Executive Consulting will be adding Colorado office locations in Denver and Littleton, bringing high-level executive coaching, strategic communication, media training, and leadership presence work to leaders and organizations across the Front Range.
